Philip R. Russ is the Co-Founder and Principal of Longline, where he leads firm wide execution and investment structuring, ensuring the seamless delivery of innovative capital solutions.

Philip began his career as an attorney with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in Manhattan, specializing in corporate and real estate law. He played a key role on transactional teams managing debt, equity, and acquisition deals exceeding $20 billion across diverse industries.

He later joined Morris Manning & Martin LLP in Atlanta, where he executed complex real estate equity and debt transactions, including acquisitions of non-performing loan portfolios backed by real estate assets. Before co-founding Longline, Philip served as Principal and President of Burton Franchise Partners, where he directed multi-state retail investments and oversaw operations with more than 100 employees.

Philip’s combination of legal acumen, investment expertise, and operational leadership provides Longline with a strong foundation for strategic growth and disciplined execution.
